Karl Ingvaldson never knew that his initial interest in business and technology would lead him on a life of travel. He was just following his passions through much of his education. His degree in computer science gave him his first big opportunity to spend time abroad while working. He was good at mobile technologies and other IT work and he landed a position with Toshiba in Tokyo, Japan.
Karl Ingvaldson spent a year in Tokyo helping Toshiba develop its first 3G phone. It was challenging and rewarding, but he really liked the fact that he could work and live in Tokyo. He met a lot of interesting people and made some unforgettable memories in the city. Japan is a very unique place and he was happy to have spent some time there.
Since that experience, Karl Ingvaldson has spent time increasing his education credentials, earning a masters degree in industrial engineering and marketing from the Lund Institute of Technology. With his business and technology expertise he has been able to travel to over 25 countries throughout the world. Some for leisure, but many times for work or business. He is very happy that his career has enabled him to travel as much as he does. Not many people have the opportunity to do so in their lives.
Even after all of that traveling, Karl Ingvaldson wants to do more. Some people think a person would get tired of traveling, but the more he travels the more Karl Ingvaldson wants to continue traveling. His recent plans involve starting up a wine import business in Sweden. He will be traveling to Spain and Italy and maybe some other countries to look for possible places to import from. Karl Ingvaldson is looking forward to the extra travel he will have to do!

Military Service helps Karl Ingvaldson throughout Life
Karl Ingvaldson grew up in a family that placed an importance on service. Even though he had a lot of experience and interest in business and technology when he was in high school, he knew he would be joining the Swedish Armed Forces at some point early on in his career. So, he eventually decided to enlist in the Swedish Armed forces and enrolled in the Army Cadet School.
Karl Ingvaldson applied himself during his Army schooling and performed very well. He earned a score of 10-9-8 on his final tests. These stand for behavior and attitude, competence, and personal drive respectively. Those are great scores for Sweden, as most people average around a 5! Karl Ingvaldson was already proving himself as a good soldier. Later on he was voted as the Best Soldier by his fellow troops which is a very honorable award. He was also part of the High Guard that protects the King and his family.
He learned a lot of important lessons and skills in the Swedish Armed Forces. Skills and lessons he wouldn't have learned otherwise. He learned the importance of hard work and the value that dedication brings to whatever it is you're working on. Discipline is also one of the most important lessons anyone can learn by serving in their country's armed forces. Karl Ingvaldson had discipline before he joined, but he had much, much more afterwards. This allowed him to focus on his schooling and get great grades for his bachelor's and masters degree.
The lessons he learned in the Swedish Armed Forces have helped Karl Ingvaldson in all of his business endeavors. He has had a rather successful career and has been able to travel throughout the world. Currently he's working on starting a wine import business in Sweden to provide high quality wines to Swedish customers.
